Seminar cancellation - refund of non-refundable deposit
I had an opportunity to make use of Robert's negotiating skills. I was planning a seminar, and hired a large room from a local hotel, complete with meals, for more than 100 people. I paid a large non-refundable deposit.

Circumstances arose which necessitated canceling the seminar. The hotel was unsympathetic to my dilemma and maintained that the deposit was non-refundable. I decided to hire Robert to negotiate on my behalf. He found a way to get the management to refund 50% of my deposit! I was truly amazed and delighted to pay him a portion of, what was to that point, totally lost money.

Robert does his homework and he is excellent at asking for what he wants, in a way that people are delighted to give it to him. He obtained a great result for me after vandals partially burned down my garage. The structure was very old. My insurance company offered to pay for only the amount necessary to repair the structure. Unfortunately the city codes necessitated that the garage be totally rebuilt.

The insurance company was offering me $3,300 to do the repairs, and they would not budge from their position. Robert negotiated for me and when he was done, they agreed to replace the entire garage, at a cost of over $10,000. I was extremely thankful, as he saved me a lot of money and a great deal of stress.
