Garage Destroyed - Insurance paid $7000 more than initially offered
I asked Robert to help me after vandals partially burned down my garage. The structure was very old. My insurance company offered to pay only the amount necessary to repair the structure. Unfortunately, the city codes required that the garage be totally rebuilt.

The insurance company was offering me $3,300 to do the repairs, and they wouldn’t budge from their position. Robert negotiated for me and when he was done, they agreed to replace the entire garage, at a cost of over $10,000.

Robert really does his homework. And he’s excellent at positive negotiation, so that people are delighted to work with him. I was extremely thankful, as he saved me a lot of money and relieved me of a great deal of stress.

Home remodeling - Saved $39,000
I recently decided to do a major remodel of my home. I consulted with 3 contractors, and received bids that ranged from $116,000 to $131,000. This was way beyond my budget. I decided to ask Robert to help me find a way to do the remodel for less. I expected that I would need to make a major cutback in my renovation plans as part of the process.

He contacted numerous subcontractors with whom he was familiar. By carefully comparing the subcontractors' bids, he found a reputable subcontractor for each trade area who provided a substantially reduced cost (versus the related bid from the general contractors). He then found me a general contractor who was willing to work with all of our selected subcontractors.

It was a lot of work, but it sure paid off. He negotiated for all my renovations to be done, at an amazing cost of just $77,000. This was a saving of at least $39,000!

Seminar cancellation - Refund of non-refundable deposit
I was planning to conduct an educational seminar, and contracted for a large room from a local hotel, complete with meals, for more than 100 people. I paid a large non-refundable deposit.

Circumstances arose which necessitated canceling the seminar. The hotel was unsympathetic to my dilemma and maintained that the deposit was non-refundable. I decided to have Robert negotiate on my behalf. I certainly hadn’t succeeded, and felt like I had nothing to lose.

He found a way to get the hotel to refund 50% of my deposit! I was frankly amazed because I really didn’t see any way that they would move from their position. He was able to bring a new and unusual perspective to the negotiation, which resulted in them volunteering a partial refund. I’m just delighted to pay him a portion of, what was to that point, totally lost money.
